Overcoming challengesboth inside and outside the classroom

Girls who feel empowered at school are more likely to succeed in life and be happy, well-rounded adults. Additionally, they can become role models for other girls and help to create a more positive school environment. A school is an important place for girls to feel empowered and learn how to make a difference in the world.

Lucy Gascoyne - Raising the aspirations and motivations of girls and young women

For the last ten years, I have modelled in the International Fashion industry, shooting for world leading magazines, walking top runway shows and shooting worldwide campaigns.

I have experienced highs and lows in the industry and my hope is to educate and encourage the girls about the positive ways we can manage the pressures we experience as young women, the social norms we are influenced by social media and the effect that can have on the way we feel and ultimately the choices we make for ourselves.

I am so excited to to present our girls’ empowerment workshop, as school was a huge part of the person I have become today and I am proud to be able to help and support students to Model their own Positive Futures.

Our workshop program is specifically developed to support and educate young women and girls in mentorship and leadership development, financial assistance, and health education.

It also provides schoolgirls with a safe space to share their experiences and to receive guidance from women who have faced similar challenges. By investing in schoolgirl empowerment programs, we can help ensure that young women around the UK have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
